Joyelle Calisthenics Club Inc.
History of Joyelle
Joyelle Calisthenics Club originally commenced classes in the Woden Valley during the 1970s and has been operating in the Tuggeranong Valley for over 20 years. In recent years the club has also offered classes in Jerrabomberra. Joyelle offers Calisthenics to children of all ages ranging from Tinies aged 3 years up to Seniors.
Our Aim
Joyelle fosters participation through the development of team spirit and self-confidence. We welcome parental involvement with committee work, costume and stage assistance and fundraising.
Classes and Fees
Classes are held weekly in the Tuggeranong and in Jerrabomberra. The duration of the classes varies dependent on the age group of the children. Costs are kept to a minimum and consist of a yearly fee paid by the term. Credit card facilities are available. This fee includes costume and equipment hire. There is a once per year affiliation fee payable to the ACT Calisthenics Association.
Competition, Coaches and Representative Teams
Joyelle participates in locally organised competitions. Older age teams also compete at interstate competitions. In addition to team events, there are also solo competitions for girls aged from 7 and over who have had at least one year of calisthenic experience. ACT representative teams are selected toward the end of the year for the following year. All of our coaches are accredited by the Australian Coaching Council and are encouraged to maintain and extend their qualifications.
